What is Fascial Release Massage?

You have probably heard the term Fascial Release Massage but maybe you didn’t know what it meant. Fascial Release massage involves manipulating the superficial and deeper layers of connective tissue surrounding the muscle, in order to facilitate the release of tension in muscles and joints.

The Fascial Release Massage is performed at our Adica Massage Clinic. The Fascia is a structure that surrounds muscles, blood vessels and nerves. It helps bind them together and allows others to be able to move smoothly with each other.

With a Fascial Release Massage, the muscles, tendons, and nerves are stretched so a better blood flow can be achieved to each element of your body. The therapist will go through each layer until the deepest tissues are reached. When performed by a trained therapist, a Fascial Release Massage can help with strength and the range of motion issues that you may be experiencing. This is particularly important for people who work in offices and at a desk daily with poor posture, the factory worker who climbs and lifts, or the athletes that have overworked and stressed their muscles, tendons, and nerves, and is now causing you discomfort or pain.

We do not realize that what we do on a daily basis has an effect on parts of our bodies. We never stop to think about the scar tissue that can form on the connective tissue and can constrict your muscles and tendons, and nerves restricting them from doing what they were made to do. By stretching them out it helps elevate the scars and allows better blood flow, and helps the lymph nodes do what they are designed to do, by ridding the body of unwanted toxins.

Come visit Adica for our expertise on a Fascial Release Massage and we can also educate you on how to have an active role in your health and well being.
