Massage after Surgery – Kayla MaGee

Over the past of being an Registered Massage Therapist I have had plenty of clients who have had some type of surgery done at some point in their lives.  Quite a few of them had difficulties maneuvering around for a period of time while healing, this is quite common.  Massage therapy is a great way to keep your body in good working condition during and after the healing process.  No matter what area of the body that is affected, simple movements and tasks are completely altered for quite some time, this is very common.  If you have surgery on your left leg for example your body will naturally overcompensate using your right leg causing your right leg to be tighter and possibly have adhesion.  You do not need to have the affected area worked on if you are uncomfortable with it, that limb can be avoided and you can get the rest of your body worked on to keep it in good working order.   Here at Adica Massage Clinic we have two rooms located on the ground floor to accommodate your needs, if for example you are using crutches and you would rather avoid using stairs. Once the surgical sight is all healed and you are okay having it touched, certain techniques can help reduce the appearance of any scar that might be present.

We now give our clients the ability to book online, many clients feel this is much easier than taking the time to call in.  When you go to book online, you are able to see all the times that we are available to accommodate you. You can also book using the chat function on our website! We also offer different types of massage including: therapeutic massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, couple’s massage, hot stone massage, pregnancy massage and even 4 handed massage. Give us a call! We would love to hear from you!
